Homecoming 2025 | Marching Mizzou Alumni Answered the Call

Marching Mizzou Alumni Band’s 2025 Reunion Weekend was a weekend to remember as Marching Mizzou Alumni answered the call, bringing energy, pride, and a shared love of Marching Mizzou to Homecoming Weekend.

Bridging Generations

Alumni spanning the early 1960s through the 2020s came together, bridging decades of tradition with fresh energy. From the growth years of the 1970s and 1980s, to the modernization of the 1990s and 2000s, and the surge of recent graduates from the 2010s and 2020s, this mix of generations showcased the enduring spirit of Marching Mizzou Alumni.

Back on Faurot Field

The weekend kicked off with our Friday night gathering at the Heidelberg, providing alumni with an opportunity to reconnect and share stories over apps and drinks.

On Saturday, alumni and current members came together for a rehearsal and performance on Faurot Field. From playing timeless pre-game music to running classic drum cadences and singing the Alma Mater at the end of rehearsal, every note and step resonated with decades of memories and pride. For many, it was the small, meaningful moments—marching together, cheering on the Tigers, and simply being part of the ensemble—that made the day unforgettable.

Near and Far

Our alumni community stretches far and wide. Many traveled from nearby cities, such as St. Louis and Kansas City, while others journeyed from across the country, from Florida to Idaho. Each alumni member’s journey brought its own story, helping carry forward the legacy and pride of Marching Mizzou. This mix of local and long-distance attendees highlighted both the deep Missouri roots and the national reach of our band family, with over 16 states represented. 

Celebrating the Tigers with Game Day Pride

The Tigers’ decisive 42-6 win added to the festive atmosphere, creating a weekend full of music, movement, and memories. From closer parking to performance, every detail came together to ensure a seamless and exhilarating experience that honored the past while celebrating the present.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who attended Homecoming 2025—your energy, pride, and dedication made the weekend truly special. We also want to recognize the Marching Mizzou Alumni Board for their thoughtful planning, Hadley Haux, our director, for his guidance and leadership, and the Marching Mizzou Band Staff for their support and for giving us the incredible opportunity to perform alongside current members. Together, they helped make this reunion a seamless, memorable, and celebratory experience for all.
