Marching Mizzou Alumni Band Scholarship Application Guide 2025

Each year, the Marching Mizzou Alumni Band proudly awards scholarships to select members of Marching Mizzou who exemplify the pride, service and dedication that define “The Big M of the Midwest.” These scholarships recognize outstanding students who have contributed to the band’s legacy through their commitment, leadership, and school spirit—both on and off the field.

Who Can Apply

Eligible applicants must have marched with Marching Mizzou for at least three years, though those years do not need to be consecutive. Students must also be active and in good standing with the organization at the time of application. This scholarship is not just about longevity—it’s about what you’ve done with your time in the band. Applicants are evaluated on their level of involvement, their enthusiasm for Marching Mizzou, and the ways they’ve gone above and beyond to support their section, peers, and the program as a whole.

What We’re Looking For

The Application Process

To apply, complete the official scholarship application form by Friday, October 31. Applicants selected for interviews will be contacted via email to schedule a Zoom interview on Sunday, November 16. Please check your email regularly for updates from the selection committee.

During the interview, you’ll have an opportunity to share your experiences in your own words, what Marching Mizzou has meant to you, how you’ve grown through the program and how you plan to carry those lessons forward. Thoughtful, sincere answers go a long way in demonstrating your commitment to the band and your future goals.
